In the village

The money comes home the same evening

Lakhs of rural families live on money earned in another city. Earlier it travelled with a friend, a bus conductor or a month-end visit. Now a worker walks into a DuePe CSP near the work site and the transfer reaches the home account in minutes.

On the village side the family withdraws it at their own DuePe CSP with Aadhaar and a thumb, so both ends of the journey stay within walking distance and nobody visits a bank.

Common questions

Questions senders ask

How much can be sent?

Limits per transaction and per month are set by the partner bank and shown in the app before a transfer. Larger amounts can be split across transfers within those limits.

What does the sender need?

A mobile number to receive the OTP, the beneficiary's account number and IFSC, and the cash. No bank account of their own is needed.

What if the money does not reach?

The transfer stays "pending" until the bank confirms. If the bank rejects it, the amount is refunded to the DuePe CSP and returned to the sender against the receipt.

Can money be sent at night or on holidays?

Yes. IMPS works 24 hours a day, every day of the year, so a transfer can be made whenever the shop is open.

Does the beneficiary need a DuePe account?

No. The money goes straight into the beneficiary's bank account; they need nothing from DuePe and can withdraw it at any bank, ATM or DuePe CSP.

Does the sender get a receipt?

Yes. Every transfer has a bank reference and a receipt, printed or sent to the sender's phone, showing the amount, the beneficiary and the status.
